Cancer Guide
This information is primarily about helping cancer patients learn how to find the answers to their questions and especially to helping them learn what questions they need to ask. It also covers other aspects of coping from attitude to finances.
Cancer Information Service from the NCI
The Cancer Information Service (CIS) is a program of the National Cancer Institute, offering all individuals access to information about cancer. By calling 1-800-4-CANCER from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., individuals can obtain information that is topical, comprehensive, and tailored to the individual.
Community Based Education Programs
These educational outreach programs in Southern California have special audiences that include: African American cosmetologists, clergy, the deaf community and the Pacific-Asian community.
Healthy Eating Program at Moores Cancer Center
Healthy Eating Program is a personalized counseling program designed to help patients adopt a diet that will promote health and fight disease. Offered at Moores, the program is based on research conducted at UCSD
Survivorship-Cancer Survivor Support Groups
Cancer support groups are offered in many regions. These are in Southern California and include groups for caregivers, families, general cancer issues and a special group for breast cancer.

One of the most comprehensive online resources for individuals wanting to learn more about cancer, treatments, research, stories of hope, support programs, research, etc. Presented with the lay audience in mind.

Cancer News on the Net
This news site is dedicated to bringing patients and their families the latest news and information on cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention. This site is offered for free.
Cancer Clinical Trials Information
Cancer clinical trials are an important treatment option to be considered at the time of diagnosis. To help patients and families in the decision-making process, the nonprofit Coalition of Cancer Cooperative Groups has a site filled with information and a free on-line navigation and matching system linking patients to trials.
Oncolink
The latest news on cancer treatment, cancer research, oncology advances, and cancer clinical trials. Billed as "The Web's First Cancer Resource," the articles are written in a style that will be user-friendly to the lay public as well as medical professionals.

San Diego County Cancer Navigator
San Diego County Cancer Navigator is a program initiated by the Board of Supervisors to provide resource information to cancer patients, their families, health providers, and the public. This site provides hundreds of useful links and is a must-review for anyone facing cancer. The helpline has support in English and Spanish at 866-324-2628.
